How fast can you solve a Rubik's cube?

As part of our reading, we work immediately exploring new items that have a national or international setting.
Recall:
  1. Who is the main person or group of people in this news article?

    Two scientists who are called Paul Rose and Jay Flatland.

   2.  What was the key event from the news article?

   The scientists showing a robot that broke the rubik’s cube record.

   3.  Where did this event take place?

   In a room that looked like a lab.

    4.  When did this event take place?

    The first of February 2016.

Thinking:

1. In your own words describe what happened in this news article.

Two scientists made a machine that could solve a rubik’s cube.
2. Find out where this event took place and include some
information about this place.

It took placed in the scientist’s room that had computers and inventions.

3. Tell us when this event happened and explain what might happen in the future.

It took place on the first of February 2016, the robot might be sold in stores and people will have their own rubik’s cube machine.

4. Explain in your own words why this event took place.

Because the scientists wanted to show their robot and hope that the robot could be in the record books.

5. Use the Dictionary in the bottom right hand corner to find the meaning of 3 words from the article.  

Inventor:
A person who invented a particular process or device or who invents things as an occupation.
Develop:
Start to exist, experience, or possess.
Robot:
A machine capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically, especially one programmable by a computer.
